Walter R. Shaw: I have got the floor, Mr. Speaker, this is a question. Honourable Robert E. Campbell: You can have the floor, you can have the floor. Walter R. Shaw: Did he retract it?
Mr. Speaker: Please sit down. He will answer your question.
Walter R. Shaw: No, I am asking the question, Mr. Speaker. I am adjusting to a very definite statement of this. Wil you ask him to sit down.
Mr. Speaker: If you want him to answer you, you will have to sit down.
Walter R. Shaw: I am asking you to have him retract his statement which is not parliamentary.
Honourable Gordon L. Bennett: You didn‘t hear right.
Walter R. Shaw: Now I am not talking to you, Mr. Minister of Education. If you want me to turn my guns on you, I will do it, but I am talking about this man over
here, (Laughter) ~ Honourable Robert E. Campbell: I didn’t say a word.
Walter R. Shaw: You did say a word (Laughter) Mr. Speaker, you are a gentle- man, you are in an important position and you .....
Honourable Robert E. Campbell: Mr. Speaker, I said that his party .....
Walter R. Shaw: You didn’t say his party.
Honourable Robert E. Campbell: I have the cheque right here with the Province of Prince Edward Island .....
Walter R. Shaw: I am not talking about your cheque. I am talking about a statement.
Honourable Robert E. Campbell: You don’t want to hear .....
Walter R. Shaw: Mr. Speaker, I have the floor and I am apealing to you to decide this. He pointed his finger at me and said you spent vemment money for oats. Now I want that statement retracted.
Honourable Robert E. Campbell: Mr. Speaker, if the Leader of the Opposition will let me speak; he spoke and he wasn’t interrupted so I ask him to let me a ak and if he wants me to go all over the oats and the welfare cheque and everyt ing
else, I will.
Walter R. Shaw: He points his finger at me across the floor of this House and says that I spent money on oats to catch votes up in his District. I want you to ask him
to retract it. Some Member: (Inaudible)
Walter R. Shaw: Listen, you kee quiet. You couldn’t tell me the other day what was in the Department of Natura Resources and you haven't yet.
hHonourable Cecil A. Miller: You have got the wrong man. I never opened my mout .
Walter R. Shaw: You didn’t open your mouth, you never had it closed. Mr. Speaker: Let’s have order in the House.
Walter R. Shaw: Yes. let’s have order in the House and keep those fellows quiet over there. (Sensation and cheers)
