that. Last night after I went home I started to think about how the two Members from the First District of Queens, how they left, they went out and they were cross because that I had not shown the senior Member from First Queens the cheque. Well I want the junior Member from Queens to tell the senior Member from First Queens that I was very sorry. I know he was confused; he was terribly confused. He came over here and I thought _he was going to try and steal the cheque. But he was very cross because I wouldn’t give it to himg He went out, he couldn’t find his hat, he couldn't find his coat and he couldn’t find his shoes, he was worked up so bad.
Walter R. Shaw: Please stop this man from raving.
Honourable Robert E. Campbell: Well, Mr. Speaker, it will take more than the Leader of the Opposition to stop me.
Walter R. Shaw: If he could only find his mental processes and get them in gear. .
Honourable Robert E. Campbell: Mr. Speaker I have the floor and if you will put that June bug down I will finish in only a few minutes. Now this morning I went to the trouble of 8having the cheque duplicated and I have thirty-two sheets of pape per here with the cheque and the order of it, but it didn’t turn out very good, but I guess that is the way they wanted it. The 'black came out but the red didn’t so I don't think I will pass it around. But any of you people on the other side that would like to see this cheque, I am a little better hearted than I was last night and I will let you have it and you can look it over. The amount is for fourteen bushels of seed oats.
Henry W. Wedge: (Inaudible) Honourable Robert E. Campbell: Oh My, yes Sir coming from you, I would. J. Russell Driseoll: Is this the cheque that you showed last night for $15. 00?
Honourable Robert E. Campbell: Yes, Mr. S peaker, this is the cheque I showed the night before last and again on last night and again this afternoon, the same cheque showng three times.
Some Member: How much is it? Frame it,
Honourable Robert E. Campbell: I can answer only one question at a time. Walter R. Shaw: That’s almost too much.
Honourable Robert E. Campbell: That was for fourteen bushels of oats that was given to a certain lady up West for her votes and the amount is for $15.00 for
fourteen bushels of oats. Ity was only supposed to be a dollar a bushel but I think they sent an extra dollar for good measure.
Henry W. Wedge: Was this certified seed?
Honourable Robert E. Campbell: Well now look, you will have to ask Mr. Rooney
that because he was the man that bought the oats and you’re Government sent the cheque out, Sir.
Henry W. Wedge: She wasn’t a welfare patient or anything? Some Member: No she wasn’t a welfare patient.
Walter R. Shaw: Are you sure ?
Henry W. Wedge: Is this under the grain assistance program?
Honourable Robert E. Campbell: No Sir, this is under the May 30th Election Act. Any more questions, Sir?
. Henry W. Wedge: No, we expected you to twist the thing around, but we want to 11nd out Just what . .Department of Agriculture is it?
