___________________________Legislative Assembly ___________________________ Province. They seem very hard to come by. To get anybody to train in those fields is difficult because it is a long hard grind to get to the end of the coarse and be ready to go to work. This is a highly skilled trade, both in Dentistry and as a Doctor. This is one of the things that probably keeps so many from going to it, this long hard grind before they really get down into business themselves. "Health immunization program protection against measles." Now, this only mentions measles. I think we nave immunization program for other diseases clear or measles, but they must be going to expand it into the measle business. We have not had an epidemic of measles in the past few years, but we have had some years prev¬ iously, but if anything can be done to help reduce those diseases, it is really something worth looking into. Provincial Sanatorium; there are only thirty patients there at the present time and 60% of this building has been taken for a Chronic Care Centre. Now I do not quite agree with this part of the program because if we ever had an epidemic of this disease again, such as we have had in the past, and as this is turned over to some other De¬ partment, what will happen to this program, Mr. Speaker . "The Division of Food Control, which will promote closer inspection of food- products." I think this is really needed in Prince Edward Island at all times. We are Srobably lacking in this, in a great many instances, the closer food inspection and food andling by catering establishments and tourist accommodations. I do not think there is an awful lot of places that abuse this, but probably there are some that could have a little closer supervision in this Department. » "My Government has reorganized it's Department of Municipal Affairs in order to provide for greater efficiency in the expansion of its services. The Planning Division of this Department will cooperate with the and Housing Corporation and the Atlantic Development Board in the detailed planning of the Borden area." Mr. Speaker , why only the Borden area? I know that it will be needed in the Borden area, we know that when the Causeway is underway that we will need it especially in the Borden area. But it is needed in other areas of the Province as well as the Borden area. Frank Jardine : Can you name a few ? Preston D. MacLure : Can I name a few? Most any area, any built up area in Prince Edward Island needs some planning, but it will be especially needed in the Bor¬ den area due to the Causeway. But then it should be other areas as well as the Borden area. "Water Control Authority in Prince Edward Island ." This is a very definite need, that we control the water resources of the Island. We may find ourselves, in a few years time, being very short of water on the Island to carry on the Industrial and other areas of town and built-up areas. We may find that we need a greater supply of water because of the facilities today. A greater amount of water is used to keep the town and the areas going under the present condition, and as the years go forward, I know it will take a greater amount still. Mr. Speaker , I am afraid I am not quite through, but the time has arrived that I will ask to adjourn. Preston D. MacLure : Mr. Speaker after the delightful dinner we had this even¬ ing, I may go on for a couple of days, it feels as though I had better not have any more dinners in that beautiful institution out there. Need I say more, Mr. Speaker , to the Minister of Education that we are still looking for a Vocational School in Kings County. (Applause) Some Member : And ! Preston D. MacLure : Well, we hardly need one quite that big, but we need all subjects are taught in that Vocational School. Walter R. Shaw : Very good indeed. Preston D. MacLure : Mr. Speaker , this next item, No. 66, I think it is a very important subject for the municipality, the treatment of sewage, which is polluting our rivers at the present time. Before too many years, this will come to all built up areas, that this will have to be undertaken. I am pleased to see that there is something going here in this Department, and that pollution from the industry and the industry
