since April 1, 1966, and see that they will now qualify under The Canada Assistance Plan?

Honourable M. Lorne Bonnell: Was there any rejected since April first? Henry W. Wedge: Oh yes; I could give you a list of them.

Honourable M. Lorne Bonnell: Well maybe you had better give us the list be- cause we would like to have the list.

Henry W. Wedge: I will give you the list.

Honourable M. Lorne Bonnell: I have been trying to give you a very fair com- ment on this assistance and you are giving the impression now that a lot of mothers

were turned down and I don’t know of any. Henry W. Wedge: I had one call me this morning.

Honourable M. Lorne Bonnell: You had one this morning? You had a list awhile ago and that list came down to one. If you will give me the name of that young lady we would be very pleased to send her out the application

form. Walter R. Shaw: . . . you are going to turn them all down . . .

Henry Wedge: I don’t want you to get me wrong. I just want to know whether those that were turned down since April first, when this Act came into force, could be reviewed now? If your Department will review them and see that they get their Dis- abled Persons Allowance or Mothers Allowance that they could not receive under the

old plan ‘!

Honourable M. Lorne Bonnell: Might I say this, Mr. Member from the Third District of Prince, that I don’t believe that anybody has been turned down since April the first, I don’t believe anybody has . . .

Some Member: He said sixty-six.

Honourable M. Lorne Bonnell: Well I don’t know where he got his sixty-six because you know that we never had a meeting until we were supposed to have it this afternoon for this month, and it never was held because we had a meeting this afternoon in this Assembly.

Some Member: He is referring to the old Board. Honourable M. borne Bonnell: What old Board? L. George Dewar: The Disabled Board. Honourable M. Lorne Bonnell: 1966 Board?

Henry W. Wedge: I am referring to the time The Canada Assistance Plan came into effect?

Honourable M. borne Bonnell: 1966 in April, then. Well that is the ones that you turned down, we would gladly consider them again.

Henry W. Wedge: Would you review all these cases that were turned down? Honourable M. Lorne Bonnell: Certainly we will. Henry W. Wedge: Well that’s fine.

Honourable M. Lorne Bonnell: I didn’t know because I knew we didn’t turn any down because we never had a meeting to turn them down. So it is your year that turned down the hundred and some.

L. George Dewar: Mr. Speaker, could I ask the Minister a question? Honourable M. Lorne Bonnell: Yes.

L. George Dewar: Will there be federal representation on The Canada Assist- ance Board.
