Tuesday, April 26, 1967 not think, honestly, Mr. Minister that it is a very courteous thing and you didn't show that this nan didn't have collateral to borrow this money from agencies of Government at all. If he had collateral, he had as much right to borrow money from Government as you or I have or anybody else. That is why I don't like those things about oats and peoples names being dragged out on the floor of this Legis¬ lature, and I think there are good men over there on that side of the House who resent it as much as I do. But anyway, this is the result of that two decker bus down in that part. "I am sure both occasions suffered by your absence, perhaps, how¬ ever, at some future date you may grace one of our social occasions with your presence. Please feel welcome. We were fortunate in passing both of you on the road during our ride to the district in our double decker bus. As we passed you at a very high speed," I do remember when it passed, I was cultivating potatoes because I have to sell twenty- three to get a bag of flour. I enjoyed the treat reading the signs that were on the bus. Rather than deprive you of any enjoyment and entertainment that these signs provided, and there is no doubt they must have provided entertainment to some people that it is easy to provide entertainment to I like to be entertained by the and Toronto people, but that has not happened lately. I have a list of just what these signs said, here is a list of actually what was written on our bus, duplicate, one on each side, oh yes. we all had to see them. " Don Anderson and Frank Sigsworth , Alex Campbell 's Liberal team in Second Kings. Celebrate Premier Alex Campbell 's Liberal Triumph with the Ten Poll Chairmen in Second Kings;" good for them, good boys. Liberals from Second Kings who have elected Alex Campbell as Premier? Well, there was not enough Liberals in Second Kings to have Alex Campbell . "Liberal Times are Happy Times." I wonder if they are too happy down in Georgetown right at this present time. "Happy Days Are Here Again," I wonder is progress of industry happy in this Province as it was under the days when those two men sitting here were promoting it to the utmost, I don't think so. (Applause) Go home, sure we are happy to go home, if the time is that we don't believe that we are destined but the powers above to run this country as the Liberals seem to think. "Daddy, Who is Leo Rossiter ?" well, daddy may be still a grandfather and he will still know who Leo Rossiter was before Leo Rossiter is through in this Province. The old order changes; it sure has, it sure has, the old order changes, it changes very much. We see men, such as we have happened to se in this Legislature, and the same old cry that rang out two thousand years ago, and we hear that same cry, "give us politics, give us patronage, give us what we have to offer you; yes, crucify him, give us Barabus, crucify prosperity, prosperity." The old order certain¬ ly changed; wasn't his name Shaw, The Tory like the Trojans. "Mommy, did Jens Moe really own the Island?" (Laughter) Some Member : He pretty near had it. J. Walter Dingwell : Mo, but he could have made it more possible that more people would own a portion of it if they had of been at the loan. (Applause) Remember May 30th and July 11th? We had elected Canada 's youngest premier. If that is all the recommendation he had to be Premier of this Province, in my mind it is not quite sufficient. Anyway, anyone for Swiss Banking? But anyway, Leo was Walter Dingwell really swallowed by a mink. (Applause) We voted Liberal in Second Kings, I heard a lot about those big businesses down there in Second Kings; I think I will tell you this. The mink farm at Morell, it was established under some of the agencies of Government, got themselves into trouble such as Georgetown has done since that time as many other industries did and will and did in other Pro¬ vinces of Canada and in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia , and I believe the Govern¬ ment lost a little money in that respect. But today that same mink ranch down there in Morell , in wages and materials alone, I have been told on very good authority, is bringing into that very same sector besides the profit that the owners themselves have, about $25,000, and now when one dollar, they say in this, generated into the economy of the Province will generate three or four more.. I do not think it is going to be too long down in Morell before the Government recovers more than 100% of its investments and its loss. (Applause) And we heard another desperate thing that possibly the creditors down in Georgetown should not be allowed two —M7—
