I9I3 At the beginning of the year the congregation was still worshipping in the old Church and with no clear idea as to when they would be able to move into the new church.
It had been arranged to hold the opening services on two Sundays, with the intervening week being given to a Prayer Service in which the Ministers of local Churches heartily joined. The services on May I I, l9|3 were conducted by Rev. Clarence McKinnon, DD. and large congregations attended both morning and evening worship. Dr. John Pringle of Sydney conducted the services on Sunday May l8, and again the new church was crowded to full capacity. The church was solemnly dedicated to the worship of God by the Presbytery of Prince Edward Island on Tuesday May l3, Rev. John Sterling of Cavendish, as Moderator leading the service.
