An Altar League has been formed for the purpose of fostering the devotional spirit in the home.
The Cottage Prayer-meetings have been revived and been put under the charge of two Elders. The object of these meetings is to conduct worship in the homes of those who are deprived of the blessing of the sanctuary owing to age or infirmity.
Eight new recruits for the ministry have been added to the present number bringing to nineteen those studying now.
On March 8, St Dunstans Cathedral bumt and the catholic community was offered the use of the former Zion Church on Richmond Street until the basement of their new cathedral was ready for service.
The church property on Richmond Street (the old Zion Church) was sold to the Episcopal Corporation of St. Dunstan's for $5,000.
A congregational vote on the introduction of gowns for the choir resulted in 86 voting for with 47 against, but the Session considered it not wise to introduce the gowns with so many against their appearance.
I9l4 70 new names were added to the roll of the Church. Record is made of the fervent gratitude in the present grievous war and the young men of Zion who are playing a noble part. No less than 25 of our boys are on duty at present either at home or abroad.
The Building Committee reports the total amount spent to date for the construction ofthe church is $45,340.72, not counting the original land cost. The debt for this undertaking stands at only $ | 4.000. The original church design called for a higher tower, being tapered from its existing crown to a point about twice as high as it now stands. This was not completed due to 'lack of funds'.

l9l5 At the Christmas entertainment, diplomas for perfect attendance were given to 48 children. l8 bibles were presented this year for recitation of the whole Catechism. 7 new members were added to Session in December. One of those added was W. T. Huggan formerly a Session member. (Due to a death of one of the new elders they were not ordained
until the next year.) 46 scholars of the Sunday School were united into membership of the church.
I916 The awful war has brought heart breaks and sorrow to five of our homes whose sons and husbands have made the supreme sacrifice and brought heartaches and sadness to the many homes from which have gone 103 ofour best young men and nursing sisters.
The total number of families in our congregation is 222. There are 459 communicants and 505 adherents, in all 964.
