(The organists salary was $10.00 per week) Mrs. Rogers agreed to take the position from Sunday to Sunday until a permanent organist could be found. An ad was placed once a week for three successive weeks in the Montreal and the Toronto Globe for an organist. Owing to the energy and zeal of the Pastor and people, vacancies were soon filled. 72 new people were added to the church. No account has been taken of those who have gone to the Union Church, and have not taken their certificates. Certificates will be granted to them when they apply for same. The number of Communicants listed in 1921 as 622, was reduced to 302 by year end. But by 1931, the number of communicants had increased to 403 and by 1941 to 732. In December, Rev. George C . Taylor was translated to Calvin Westminister Church, Montreal, after thirteen years of service to Zion Church. 1926 The Session has been strengthened by the election of seven additional Elders . The city has been divided into 12 districts. The church was without a regular minister until the September 16th induction of Rev. M. Scott Fulton. Our people have been loyal and enthusiastic, with the "Every Person Canvas" carried out with energy and splendid success. 1927 The Choir has been for some six months now under the capable direction of Prof. Louis D . Thompson. The Session concurs in the recommendation of the General Assembly , namely, that the Managers and Trustees count all monies received at each diet of worship, and same entered upon the books of the church. , 119 were added to the Church Roll. 1928 During the year 39 have added to the Roll, with membership now at 430.
