On October 3rd, the Prince Edward Island Presbytery received resolutions from five congregation of the Church of Scotland: The People's Church, Charlottetown; Calvin Church, Mermaid Lot 48; the Glasgow Road Church; the Nine Mile Creek Church and Canoe Cove Church. I935 On Sunday May l2, the church marked the twenty second year of the new building and the seventy-fifth anniversary ofthe congregation. The occasion was observed by payment of the balance of the mortgage on the church. The congregation gathered on Friday May I7th of the celebration week during which the burning of the mortgage took place. The congregation is to be congratulated in having met all financial obligations of the church property, just twenty-two years after the present edifice was dedicated.
Zion Church had under “it's wing" two extra congregations. The one at Mermaid Lot 48 has been associated with Zion for a few years. As well The People's Church, which was on Elm Avenue. There was six elders, 25 families, and 52 on their communicants role.

I937 It is to be regretted that there is a falling offofthe subscribers to the Scripture Union notes. Private study of the Word of God and the habit of family worship in all the homes will make for a better understanding ofthe will ofGod and also better Christian citizenship.
The choir has sustained a loss in the departure of Mr. Louis D. Thompson who was Organist and Choir Director for a period of IO 1/2 years. He moved to Cornwall Ontario.
On Wednesday morning May I2, a special Coronation Service was held at Zion Church in honour of the Coronation of their Majesties King George VI and Queen Elizabeth.
