I953 Rev G. Carlyle Webster, Minister since l93l answered a call to Wallacetown, Ontario, where after a brief pastorate, was called to eternal rest, the reward of a faithful servant of the Master. During his ministry in Zion he was elected Moderator of the Presbytery of P.E.l., Moderator of the Synod of the Maritime Provinces and served on the Board of Mission of the Presbyterian Church in Canada for a number of years.

Mr. Websters final service at Zion was on March 29, when 549 took communion.

The Supply Committee of Session was again busy and with Rev. T.H.B. Somers, our Interim Moderator, no Service was missed. Stuart K. Merriam, student minister assisted in the Summer months. Rev. Somers intimated that he had written to a number of ministers inviting them to preach in Zion with a view to a call and that five had replied accepting the invitation.

I954 On February ll Rev. W. Harold Brown, MA. was inducted as Minister onion Church.

On November 2|, 8 beautiful window was purchased by the Women's Association and installed in the south side of the sanctuary in memory of Rev. G. Carlyle Webster, who was our beloved pastor for almost twenty- two years.

The anniversary service had as guest preacher, Rev. W. Stanford Reid, Ph.D., Professor of History at McGill University.

In the Autumn, the services of Rev. Ernest Charles Evans were secured to assist Mr. Brown chiefly in visitation of our people in their homes and in the hospitals.

The Church building was appraised at S I 70,000

1955 During the year our session suffered a great loss with the passing of two of our senior elders, Donald MacKinnon, CC. and Alexander A. MacDonald. Both men have given a lifetime to the work of the Master's Kingdom. One ofour elders, Mr. J. E. Ross MacEwen, resigned during the year after nineteen years service with the session, and about twenty- five years connected with the Church School as teacher and superintendent.

With the death of Alexander A. MacDonald, Ralph Balderston was appointed Clerk of Session.

A change was made to the Act of Incorporation of Zion Church, making a provision for election of a board of twelve trustees on a rotation basis.
