He continued to live in Tatamagouche until his death on December 20, 1921 On August 22, 1926, the new Church in Tatamagouche, following the Union was dedicated and opened as Sedgewick Memorial in memory of Dr. Thomas Sedgewick . Rev. Thomas Sedgewick was the uncle of Rev. W. H. Sedgewick later minister of Zion Church 1904- 1906. Patterson, Rev. Dr. George Born: Apr 30, 1824 Ordained: Oct 31, 1849 Died: Oct 26, 1897 Born in Pictou , April 30, 1824, he was educated, Pictou Academy, Dalhousie University and Edinburgh, Scotland . George was ordained as pastor in Greenhill , Nova Scotia on October 31, 1849. He retired from there, October 30, 1876, to live in New Glasgow , Nova Scotia and died there October 26, 1897. In 1859 he wrote "the memoir of the Rev. James MacGregor D.D ." his grandfather. He wrote many other books on Church history. Bayne, Rev. Dr. James Born: 1814 Ordained: 1842 Died: Dec 9, 1876 Born Dunbar, Scotland , 1814, he was educated Edinburgh University and United Succession Hall. He came to Nova Scotia and taught school in Mail land before his ordination in Londonderry, Nova Scotia in 1842. In 1851 he was called to Prince Street Church, Pictou , where he served until his death December 9, 1876. He was secretary of the board of Foreign Missions for ten years. James married a Miss Archibald and they had eight children, one of whom was Rev. Ernest Bayne who was ordained over Murray Harbour , P.E.I , and married Isabel, daughter of Rev. Alex Munro (present at the induction of Alexander Falconer at Queen Square Church in 1862) of Valleyfield , Prince Edward Island . 70-
