visits to the homes of our people have made for that development of the Christian graces and the advancement of righteousness which will remain after we have all passed within the shadows. Your devotion to your important duties, your tender messages to the sick, (he suffering and the dying, and your spiritual and sympathetic consolation to the bereaved will be cherished by all who experienced them in their trials and sorrows. It is a striking tribute to your broadness of mind, and freedom from intolerance that your contact and united service with other pastors of different denominations were being ever characterized with that harmony that endows the true man and the Christian spirit. Mrs. McKenzie has made her influence felt in the Church in connection with the various women's Societies and more especially in her work among the young people in the Mission Band. Therefore as the time of our parting approaches we earnestly wish you to carry to your new field of labour these utterances of the heartfelt wishes for the future welfare and happiness not only of you yourself, but also to Mrs. McKenzie and your son Charles. We beg of you to accept this purse symbolizing as it does a very small measure the affectionate regard that we have always entertained for you as Pastor, Preacher and Friend." - 104
