First Presbyterian Church, Chatham Ontario extended a call on June 27. 1930, signed by 625 communicants and I05 adherents of that church. He retired there following twenty years service to their congregation. in I950. While at Chatham, he inspired seven young men from the congregation to take up lives of full-time service to the church.
He later served at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Fredericton.
New Brunswick as supply minister after his retirement, coming to them on October 28, l95l.
In I952 Dr. Fulton was supplying at Glencoe, Ontario and was appointed by Presbytery as supply from June I, I953, for one year. The congregation voted on July l2. I954, not to proceed with a call and Dr. Fulton stayed on until a minister was called in October. Rev. and Mrs Fulton retired in Glencoe. He died on February 25, I956 and he was buried in the Peoples Cemetery, Charlottetown. Mrs. Fulton moved back to Charlottetown and resided here until her death on August 22, I986. Ile enjoyed sports, especially golf, which he played well.
It is interesting to note that although with Zion only for five years of his over forty years in the ministry, he was buried on Prince Edward Island, his wife being a former Islander.
