During this time he was appointed Clerk of Presbytery in 1965, a term he held until 1983. Hugh was appointed as Assistant to the Minister at Zion on November 24, 1966, taking up his duties January 1, 1967. He greatly assisted in the service of worship, the Christian Education program and visitation of the congregation. Many shut-ins welcomed his regular visits, his words of encouragement and prayers. Mrs. Lowry was involved with the Choir, Sunday School and A.M.S. Both were ardent workers and supporters of , with Mr. Lowry being director for 21 years. Christian Camp () has placed a picture of Hugh and Edith Lowry in their meeting hall in honor of their many years of service. Mr. Lowry retired in 1983, and they live in Charlottetown . HUTCHINSON , Andrew ( B.Sc , M.C.S ., Dip.Min.) Student Minister Summer of 1985 Andy and his wife Sherry took an active part in Zion while here. Sherry was part-time Christian Education Coordinator in 1982-83. Andrew was ordained in a service at Zion on July 5, 1988, along with Wayne Burke and David Hayward . His first church was Knox, (near New Glasgow ) N.S. He is currently minister of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Riverview, N.B. HAYWARD , David R. ( B.A ., B.C ., M.A.T.S ., Dip.Min.) Assistant to the Minister 1983 - June 1986 Mr. Hayward , a native of Toronto graduated from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, Hamilton, Mass. with the Degree of M.A.T.S . (Master of Arts in Theological Studies). He specialized in Youth Ministries. He was appointed by the Session of Zion as Assistant to the 125
