MILLER . LEMIIEI,.I ( -Aug25,l9ll) Born on P. E. I ., he married Margaret H. Lawson . He was school teacher, and later Principal of West Kent School for 22 years. He was elected elder 1884 and served until the time of his death in 1911. MUTCH . Willinm &, (1820 - May 1906) From Hopeton Lot 48, where he had 200 acres {his farm was at the site where the Hillsborough Bridge lands in Stratford ), William was one of the original twenty seven founders, few and faithful, who originated Queen Square Church and carried to completion Zion Church.(quoted from Samuel Nash 1908) He was known and respected throughout the Presbyterian Church in Canada . William married Sarah Waddele Douglas on March 3, 1946. Officiating at the ceremony was the brides father, Rev. Robert Douglas (see Appendix), of St. Peters Bay congregation. They was had seven daughters in a row and then one son. Two of his daughters married Presbyterian ministers, Rev. Dr. A. MacLeod and Rev. George Fisher and both moved to Vancouver B.C. However in 1925, during the Union question, both became United Church ministers. When William died in 1906, it was mentioned that he was an elder of 56 years, marking his ordination in 1850, but no record exists to show (his. {William is the Great-Great-Grand Uncle of the writer) NASH . FREDERICK John (Dec 21, 1862 - Aug 2, 1929) Trustee 1921 and on various committees Born in Halifax, Dec 21, 1862 to Samuel Caldwell and Hannah (Creelman) Nash. He received his early education at public school and completed his education at Prince of Wales College. He entered at once into journalism working as, reporter, city editor, associate editor and was marine reporter for one of the large Boston daily newspapers. In November 1898, on the resignation of Hon . David Laird , the editorial department of the Daily and Weekly Patriot was placed under his control. He was P.E.I , correspondent for the Toronto Globe. In politics, he was leader of the Young Liberals , declining many requests to run for political office. He was regarded as one of the Islands best platform speakers. He was listed in 1905 as president of the Zion Church Literary Society, and the Charlottetown Board of Trade.
