ROBERTSON W. B. (July 28, 1854 - )

Elder 1920 - left in the Union of 1925

Born in Marshfield Jul 28, 1854 the twelfth of thirteen children to Alexander and Margaret (Fergusson) Robertson. Alexander was a native of Perth Scotland and Margaret of Craggan, East River, P.E.1. Alexander's father, James was born in Blair Athol, Scotland, was a shoemaker, and came to Prince Edward Island in 1818. being one ofthe first settlers in Marshfield.

W. B. Robertson came to Charlottetown at age eighteen and was first engaged as a custom tailoring clerk. He was next in banking for four years after which he became an agent for Patterson farm implements in which he continued for sixteen years. In 1895 he was appointed sheriff until 1902 when he was appointed customs collector for the Port of Charlottetown.

ROSS Murdoch First appointed in 1903, he was one of only two elder (along with Donald McKinnon) who remained after the union vote in 1925.

STRONACH A(1832- )

Elder 1880 - 1882

Born in Quebec in 1832, married Dec 20, 1879, to Lizzie Taylor, by Rev. Isaac Murray (Upper Prince Street Presbyterian Church) with Rev. 1. M. MacLeod (Old Zion church) and Rev Kenneth McLennan (St. James‘ Presbyterian church) assisting (making all three Charlottetown Presbyterian church ministers at the wedding). He was mechanical superintendent ofthe Prince Edward Island Railway. He later moved to Winnipeg, where it is recorded his only daughter, Lizzie married from his residence ofthat city on Oct 18, 1883.

WALKER GEORGE ( 1826 - Apr 02, 1907)

He was born Scotland and was employed as a customs messenger. George was a member ofthe Free Church and was ordained Elder in 1820 in the first Union Session. He left Session in 1877 and was elected again in 1880 and served until 1883. He received a long service medal from the

government he served so well for over thirty years.
