At various times the Church had groups and organizations committed to the welfare of the Church and society at large. Some of these committees are highlighted below.

ALTAR LEAGUE

Formed in |9l3 for the purpose of fostering the devotional spirit in the home.

A.M.S. (ATLANTIC MISSION SOCIETY)

The purpose is to support with prayer, study and service the mission endeavours of the Presbyterian Church in Canada.

Under this we have the Margaret MacDougaIl A.M.S. (mentioned below), St. Andrew's A.M.S. Auxiliary(mentioned below) and Zion A.M.S. Auxiliary(mentioned below).

BOYS BRIGADE

Started in October I972. The object was to promote the habits of: OBEDIENCE, REVERENCE, DISCIPLINE, SELF-RESPECT and all that tend toward Christian manliness.

They meet Monday evening for Bible study recreation and handcrafts.

The program consists of four parts: Spiritual, Physical, Educational and Social. In I973 they were visited by Howard Richardson, President of the Boy's Brigade of Canada and George Holkam, Training Officer from Great Britain.

BUILDING COMMITTEE

First appointed in I904 to look into construction of a new church. The committee consisted of S. N. Robertson, J.M. Davison, Aubrey Mutch, J.T. McKenzie, S.A. McDonald and CJ. MacMillan. In I905 the committee was to canvas the congregation to obtain funds to build the church. I906 - Committee purchased site for $4,450.00.
