The minutes went on: "A discussion on the situation in the province , showed that several important congregations had voted to remain Presbyterian and also that sections of congregations had voted non concurrence in church union. In some of these the Unionist ministers had resigned and left their congregations without pastoral oversight. The Presbytery proceeded to appoint moderators interim for these congregations. The Rev. G. S. Mitchell of Summerside was appointed moderator interim of the Tyne Valley congregation consisting of the three sections, Victoria West, Tyne Valley and Conway (Lot ll): Lot (l4): Kensington non concurring group: Freetown and Malpeque non concurring group. Rev. George C. Taylor was appointed moderator interim of the New London congregation consisting of Cliflon, Long River, French River with the addition of Granville. Wm Taylor was to assist in the Kensington situation. The Rev. Wm. Orr Mulligan was appointed moderator interim of the non concurring groups at Alberton, Marshfield and the congregation of Belfast, Harrington, Stanhope, Highfield and Covehead. The Rev. Daniel MacVicar was appointed moderator interim of Wood Islands, Caledonia and the non-concurring people of Mount Stewart. The Rev. R. H. Stavert was appointed moderator interim of Clyde and West River. The Rev. A. S. Stewart was appointed moderator interim of the non-concurring people of Montague."
