The second/centre window is "TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN EVERLASTING REMEMBRANCE OF THOSE OF THE CHURCH WHO DIED IN DEFENCE OF JUSTICE, LIBERTY AND RIGHTEOUSNESS 1939-1945", presented by the congregation. The three panels depict: David - "FAITH AND VALOUR", Christ resurrected - "I AM THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE", and Johnathan - "LOVE AND LOYALTY".
The third/right window in memory of Rev. G. Carlyle Webster, minister of Zion from Aug 31, 1931 to March 29, 1953, and was presented by members and friends of the congregation. It is inscribed "HE WAS KNOWN OF THEM IN BREAKING OF BREAD."
Proceeding along the wall to the south west comer, the glass in the double swinging doors is in memory of Lloyd R. Balderston ( -l985),
elder and trustee. Above this and dedicated in 1954 is "TO THE GLORY OF GOD
AND IN MEMORY OF MILLER MATHESON 1858-1936. It shows the angel at the grave with the inscription "HE HAS RISEN - HE IS NOT HERE". (Miller was an elder onion from 1926 TO 1936.)
Standing next in front of the pulpit you will next see a window on either side of the organ pipes, in the upper choir lofts.
The one on the left is presented in memory of Rev. Captain George Claremont Taylor (I 876-1932), Minister of Zion from Dec 10, I912 - Dec 6, 1925, by the congregation in 1939. It is inscribed "COME YE AFTER ME AND I WILL MAKE YOU FISHERS OF MEN."
The one on the right of the organ pipes in the upper choir loft is the oldest dedicated window in the church. It is in memory of Marianne MacLaren (1862-1911) presented by her husband J. A. MacLaren in l9l3. It is inscribed, from Acts 9:36 "NOW THERE WAS AT JOPPA A CERTAIN DISCIPLE NAMED TABITHA, WHICH BY INTERPRETATION IS CALLED DORCAS: THIS WOMAN WAS FULL OF GOOD WORKS AND ALMSDEEDS WHICH SHE DID".
The window on the wall over the four marble plaques was presented in 1954 by a bequest from the will of Millicent E. Matheson, in memory of Mrs. Millicent Easton Matheson 1860-1942. It depicts the nativity scene, with the words - "AND THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH AND DWELT AMONG US".
To complete downstairs, the window on the door to the ministers study shows a stylized cross presented in memory of Murdock Nicholson ( -Apr 04, 1973) an Elder from 1956, and trustee, presented by his wife Christine.
At the back of the church and in the balcony, the four panels showing the winged man, St. Matthew; the winged creature with lions face, St. Mark; the winged creature with ox head, St. Luke; and the winged creature with eagles head, St. John; with the symbols for the greek letters Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. This window was dedicated in 1966 as a Church project.
