Those who have joined the Church by profession of faith, or transfer of membership.
One who leads or heads up a body, such as the Session (in this case the minister is the Moderator), Synod or General Assembly.
A Minister is ordained when they are first made a minister of the Presbyterian Church in Canada. Subsequently with each move from church to church, they are inducted. An Elder is formally ordained when they are elected by the congregation.
An Elder of the church selected to represent the Church at meetings of Presbytery, Synod and General Assembly.
The Elders along with the Minister make up the Session of the Church. The Session is responsible to the Presbytery. it is the duty of the Session to watch over all interests of the congregation.
Original name for Rose Valley - Springton area of Prince Edward Island. First settled in Spring of 1830 by about 20 Highland Presbyterian families from the Isle of Skye, Scotland. ‘
