wind kept the fire advancing with fury. It jumped across the road, and ignited a field of grass. Joe Maclsaac used his tractor and plough to make a furrow around the field, preventing the fire from reaching other homes and buildings in the immediate area. This was a devastating fire for Celia and Peter, but they never looked back. Starting from scratch, they repaired Bill's little house and lived in it, until Peter was able to build a new one. They had lost all the contents of the house, so like a new bride and groom, they had to start all over again. With faith and perseverance they were able to cope with their misfortune, and life was renewed for them. Celia was a talented person in the area of the arts. She was a good singer, and displayed her talents by singing in church. She also performed in many plays in the area. One of her last accomplishments before her death was to sing two songs at the manor with no accompaniment and completely by memory. Celia died in July of 1994. 60
