live nearer the road. They purchased a house out in Selkirk, and moved it to Bear River. The day that it was placed on its new foundation, Roach took a heart-attack and died. Marjorie continued to live in the house until her death in 1978.

Roach and Marjorie were a couple who never gave up, in spite of sickness and misfortunes. They were able to raise a family of nine children. Their profound faith in God, and dedication to each other, will continue to be a source of edification to their family.

In summary, Bernice Maclnnis says, “We were one big happy family and were never hungry. We always had food on the table.”
