Twelve fiberglass tanks were filled with salt water, which were filtered by using glass wool and pumped from the channel nearby. Native fish, accumulated by T.C. Gallant and other fishermen, were kept in the tanks. The glass wool filter was not proven satisfactory, especially after a windy spell which stirred up and muddied the river bed.
