CLARK - MacKAY LINE The story is told, that because there were no sons to take over the Clark farm, Eleanor was given that duty afier she married Donald “Bush MacKay. The eldest Clark son, William, was already established in various businesses in Western Prince County. He would not be able to return to the Campbellton Rd. to carry on the farm work for his mother and father.
(C.) ELEANOR (1836-1910) third child of JAMES and ELIZA CLARK m. DONALD DANIEL “Bush” MacKAY (1831-1900), son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald MacKay and grandson of the original settlers John and Ann (Caulder) MacKay, farmed on the Mill River Road. After Donald “Bush” married Eleanor Clark he moved to Campbellton Rd. and took over the farm. They built the present house in 1863. The first house was located closer to the New London Bay. They had a family of seven children.
1. John William (1862-1901) - lived in Seattle, Wash. 2. Adelaide Elga (1864-1901) in. Alexander Buntain (1862—1942) they farmed in Clifton, and had a family of three. 3. George Clark (1867—1928) — lived in US. 4. William James (1870—1932) — lived in Alma, PEI *5. Daniel Wallace (1878-1965) 6. Eleanor Jane (Jean) (1880—1967) m.______ Boston, Mass. 7. Alberta Florence (1883—1975) unmarried - worked in Boston, MA.
DANIEL WALLACE MacKAY (1878—1965) - m. Nov. 6, 1901 - MARGARET ESTHER MacLEAN (1877-1968) Esther and Wallace worked in Boston for a number of years before they took over the farm on the Campbellton Road. Esther was originally from Heatherdale, PEI

2. Florence (May 17, 1906—1985) In. George Nicholson - son of Norman and Elva Nicholson, of Stanley Bridge. Florence pursued her nursing career in Boston. George followed his father in the tailoring business. They had no family.
3. Eleanor - twin — b. Mar. 14, 1911 m. Earle Ebers — Earle’s parents lived in Charlottetown, PEI. Earle and Eleanor lived in Conn. USA (property owners — see Bell & McKie properties - Campbelton Rd.)

ELMORE MacKAY (1911 — May 15, 1991) — served in Armed Forces during Second World War. After the War ended, Elmore worked as a Canadian Fisheries Officer. He also farmed the home property and was married four times.
