5. J. Simpson (1866-1947) m. Matilda McKie - daughter of Henry and Barbara (McKay) McKie of Campbellton . The family continued with the mill and farming business. They had one son, Eric. He and his wife, Margaret Howatt , lived on the farm in Hope River , until 1960, when Eric was killed in an accident. 6. Maud (1868-1950) m. James Johnston - lived in Kerriwick, Wash. 7. Eliza (1870-1956) m. Horatio Huntington - lived in Kerriwick, Wash. 8. Bertha (1873-1954) m. W.D. Edwards - lived in Spokane, Wash. ( E ). Andrew (Jan. 10, 1819 - 1908) - born in Scotland (see Bell - Andrew} (F). George, Jr. (1821 - Oct. 19, 1897) born on PEI {see Bell - Drewery property} (G). Robert (dates unknown) - unmarried - died of cholera in Australia He and his brothers Benjamin and David had visited Australia a number of times. (H). Benjamin (Mar 24, 1826 - May 3, 1872) m. Feb. 3, 1858 Margaret Sims (Aug. 15, 1838 - Sept. 14, 1871) daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Sims , French River . Benjamin was a Sea Captain . He was involved in the shipbuilding business with other members of his family and later moved from Stanley Bridge to White Hall, Benjamin and Margaret had five children. 1. Robert Bruce Bell (July 2, 1859 - Nov. 21, 1880) - drowned in New London Bay 2. John C. Bell (Mar. 23, 1864 - Mar. 3, 1869) 3. Martha Jane (Margaret) (June 7, 1864 - Mar., 1869) 4. Masey Jenette (Oct. 13, 1865 - Dec, 1867) 5. Etta (Sept. 22,1869 - July 7, 1909) m. Isaac Doughart . Lived in Long River . (I). David (1828 - Oct. 26, 1863) m. Sarah Ann Sims b. 1840. They moved to White Hall, Mich, where his brother and his family lived. Sarah and Margaret Sims were sisters. David returned to PEI and died at the home of his brother George, Stanley Bridge , after an illness of eleven months. They had one son Hartle, who is said to have been drowned. ( J ). Mary (1835 - Jan. 30, 1927) m. James Townsend MacLeod (1819-1892) They lived in Vancouver for some time before returning to the Island and residing in BayView . They had a family of nine children. 1. Cassie (1854 - Dec. 24, 1877) m. James Simpson - lived at Simpson's Mill James was twice married. He married Mary Wares and they had seven children 2. Robert (1856-1909) m. Amelia MacEwen (1856-1946) - He was a Sea Captain 3. Laura m. Sanford Crowe - lived in British Columbia 4. Ida m. Henry MacMillan - lived in Stanley Bridge - operated a store West of the present bridge - moved to Vancouver, B.C. They had six children - 1. Jean 2. Louis 3. William 4. May 5. Jack 6.
