(K). Mizza (Mysie) m. James MacEwen son of John and Mary (Clark) MacEwen, Campbellton Rd. This family moved to Chicago, 11].

Four generations of this family lived on the home farm or in the area. The original 100 acres was sold by George (Washington) III and his wife Sophie (Bishop) Bell to Edward and Penelope (Stewart) MacEwen, of the Campbellton Rd., in 1906. After World War I ended, the farm was taken over by their son, Herbert S. and his wife, Maude (MacLeod) MacEwen. At the present time it is owned by their son, AS. and his wife, Helen (MacRae) MacEwen.

(E). Andrew Bell (1819-1908) was one year old when he came to PEI with his family. He farmed and worked in the shipbuilding business with his father and brothers. It is thought that lumber became scarce for good ships in the New London Bay area and that he moved to a better wooded area in Prince County... In MacKinnon and Warburton History of Prince Edward Island (1904) they state that ...“Two of (Andrew’s) largest vessels were built on his homestead. Mr. Bell has given personal attention to every detail of his varied enterprises...”

After he married Jane Sutherland, the family lived on the Rattenbury Road for awhile before moving to the Western part of the Island.

Some of his Clark relatives also moved to the Western part of the Island, possibly in the “Mill River to Campbellton” areas. (It is ironic that the same names were used in the Stanley area.) He purchased 200 A. of land fronting on the Mill River. Here he engaged in shipbuilding and mixed farming. He assisted in the building of at least twenty vessels, and, for sixteen years, was engaged in sailing, having sailed and sold many of these vessels in England. One vessel he called the “Mizza Bell” in honor of his sister and daughter.
