It states that Gladys graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music and was a lead singer with the San Carlo opera company. She also sang for the Metropolitan Opera Company. Beverly was the son of Alfred and Francis (Longworth) Owen, formerly from Charlottetown. Beverly had one of his plays, Abegweit, accepted for the spring productlon on the Confederation Centre stage in Charlottetown. Its setting was to have been in Stanley Bridge.
