BELL David and Barbara Bell moved to the United States for a number of years where David worked as a fox rancher in a thriving new industry. He died in the U.S. His remains were interred in the Cavendish Cemetery . His wife, Barbara, returned to live in Stanley Bridge . This 100 acre property was passed to their son, Franklin and his wife, Annie Murray Bell , on Sept. 22, 1920. 6. David assumed ownership of the farm from his father on May 1, 1894. David m. (Mrs.) Barbara (Stewart) Garrett, daughter of John and Louisa (Hooper) Stewart, , and widow of John Garrett - [ Stanley Bridge ] {see East of Bridge} Barbara had one daughter Lulu Garrett DAVID (1858 - Nov. 14, 1927) and BARBARA ANN STEWART [GARRETT] (June 2, 1861 - May 26, 1945) had three children - namely: (1.) Gertrude Adele (1891-1967) m. Ray A. MacLeod - Graham 's Road They had four children 1. Margaret m. 1. Revel Dickieson - lived in New Glasgow - two children m. 2 . [Rev.] Bryer Jones - live in Charlottetown - two children 2. Louis m. Edith King [] three children Trudy - Isobel - Donald 3. Elmer S. m. Florrie Paynter - Elmer was killed in WWII, Italy, Sept. 14, 1944 4. David m. Pauline Maclssac - live in Borden - two children (2.) Margaret Munn (Apr. 25, 1893 - 1965) m. Gothard Baker (1870-1919) They lived in Summerside and had one daughter Margaret Adele (1933-1988) m. Bud Lloyd. They had two daughters 1. Heather 2. Holly m. Scott Cole son of Douglas and Harriet Cole, New London (3.) FRANKLIN and ANNIE MURRAY BELL had a family of three. Besides being the third generation to farm this property, Frank was a mailman for the area between Breadalbane and Stanley. When Frank retired from farming, parcels of the farm were sold to Gordon and Marion Fyfe, and Milton, Adelaide and Evelyn Weeks. After Annie's death, Frank sold the farm home to Earle and Eleanor Ebers and moved to the Murray MacKay Court , New London . This sale was dated May 17, 1966. The farm home was again sold to Gerald Mercer on Jan. 7, 1985. They in turn sold it to the present owners, Rosalind and John Drewery , of Ontario . The land is now owned by Robert and James Ebers .
