‘joiner’ by trade. He had a door and sash factory close to the river on the East side. He sold the building to Boyce McKie in 1906. Before the family moved to Alberta in 1907, the equipment from this factory was hauled to the train station in Breadalbane. From there it was shipped to new owners of a door and sash factory in Souris, PEI.

George and Amelia had a family of five children:

1. William Wallace (Jan. 4, 1900 - Oct. 14, 1957) lived in Olds, Alta. 2. infant 1901 buried in Stanley Bridge Cemetery

3. John Egg (Jan. 17, 1902-1989)

4. George Ciil (Jan. 27, 1903-1994) of Calgary, Alberta

5. James - died young - buried in Stanley Bridge Cemetery

BULMAN

HONEYWELL BULMAN (Dec. 14, 1879 - Sept. 22, 1941) m. ETHEL LAMONT WED- LOCK (Apr. 25, 1882 Mar. 14, 1940) daughter of John and Mary Lamont Wedlock of Stanley Bridge.

The Bulman family lived in Stanley Bridge. Their last farm location was across from the Stanley Bridge United Church. The family moved to Hunter River in 1936. Honeywell started the mail route the following year. His mail route took him from Hunter River to Stanley Bridge. The North Rustico route was added later. In those days, mail couriers had no holidays except Sundays. 111 health forced Honeywell to retire a couple of years prior to his death in 1951. Honeywell and Ethel had four children:

2. Lorne (July 20, 1915 Mar. 21, 1989)

3. Donald (Nov. 22, 1920 - June 20, 1967) m. 1946 to Elaine Parkman of New Glasgow. Donald served in the Armed Forces and moved to Summerside after the War ended. He is buried in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

4. Mary b. Aug. 9, 1922 m. Leonard Court. They live on Rennie’s Road.

WEEKS

WALTER S. WEEKS of BayView and later Greenvale, purchased one acre of land in the vi]- lage from William MacKenzie for $400.00.

The location of the property extended eastward from the William MacKenzie driveway and par- allel with Route #6. It is directly across the road from the present church. The date of this sale

was Sept. 17, 1947.

The Weeks family held this site until 1960 when Mrs. Gertrude Weeks sold it to Blois MacEwen. Blois in turn sold it to Robert Wygant in 1961. The acreage was sold in 1986 to Stanley Coles Jr. The site has changed ownership three times from 1987 to the present. Owners have been Gerald Mercer, Philip Gallant and in 1997, Jim Delaney.
