COLES STANLEY COLES Jr. worked with his father, Stanley Coles Sr. , at the . He later moved to Toronto to work. When he, his wife Sharon , and family returned to Prince Edward Island in 1981, they purchased the General store west of the bridge. They lived in the apartment above the store, before adding an apartment onto Stanley's mother's home. The fam¬ ily operated the store for ten years. Stanley also operated the Irving Service Station at New London , before purchasing a boat and license for fishing. They now live on the east side of the river. Stanley b. Aug. 1, 1943 m. 1. Daniel QUINN JOHN MICHAEL QUINN (Dec. 25, 1883 - May 29, 1971) like his father, James, produced superior products from the forge which was on the same site as his father's. He was married on Nov. 28, 1911, to EMMA AGNES TURNER (Nov. 8, 1888 - July 21, 1967). They lived in a beautiful home, on the site of the late Keir Douglas home, which was unfortunately consumed by fire, around 1933. In the late 1930's John M. Quinn bought the fifty acre Macintosh property and established a saw mill operation on this site. This was sold to John S. and Myrtle MacKay . The family moved to Charlottetown after the great era of forge work slowed down. John M. and Emma Agnes Turner Quinn had a family of five children. 1. Mary Margaret b. Sept. 5, 1912 m. Feb. 28, 1933 to Thomas Claybourne (April 5, 1910-1991). They had nine children: Maxine, Donald, Sandra , Marie, Beverly, Brooks, Jeannie, Glen, Philip. The family lived in Charlottetown . 2.
