BOURNE (Adventure Park)
Barton Bourne purchased property from Seawood Estates (Mr. Robert Wygant) on Route 6 near Anderson’s Creek in December 1984. Here he established the Great Island Adventure Park, a
science theme park.
CHEVARIE
DONALD CHEVARIE b. Jan. 7, 1962, son of Ben and Olivia St. John, NB m. on May 23, 1987 to GWEN CHEVARIE b. Nov. 2, 1963 daughter of Gary and Lorraine Giddins of Quispamsis, NB. Donald and Gwen purchased a lot in Seawood Estates in 1989 and built a permanent home in 1990. Donald is a social worker for the Department of Health and Community Services, Summerside. Gwen is a homemaker, a child care provider and operates a small children’s clothing business at home. They have two children:

GREEN
OWEN G. GREEN, son of Angus and Hattie Cole Green, joined the Peace Corps — Air Force - and since retiring, has settled in Stanley Bridge.
OWEN b. 1937 m. MARIE LOUISE GALLANT b. 1940 daughter of Alfred and Lilla Gallant of BayView. They have two children:

YOUNG
Matthew H. Vincent M.D. (Mar. 13, 1921 - 1995) m. on June 9, 1945 to Mary Porter. The Youngs came from Montreal in December 15, 1989 to reside at the Seawood Estates in Stanley
Bridge. In addition to specializing in obstetrics, Dr. Young taught students of medicine. He died in
1995 and is buried in Indian River. The Youngs have three children: Mary (killed in car acci- dent), Janet who lives in Winnipeg, and Pamela b. Feb. 23, 1950 lives at home.
Seawood Estates Extension
Located on the Stanley River west of the Swimming Rock and off Route 6 is a 15 acre parcel of land purchased by Mr. Robert Wygant from Blois MacEwen. On this land are cottages, homes, and businesses.
Eric James built a cottage just off Route 6. Later this cottage was sold to Hugh and Irene MacKinnon who in turn sold it to Alan and Elaine Hammond. The Hammonds built a second summer home in 1995 adjacent to the first. On the next lot Walter and Joyce Taylor of Halifax built a new home (1987). The next two cottage lots belong to Mildred MacGuigan of California and Gordon and Joyce Phillips of Summerside. In 1967 Father Francis Bolger chose as his cottage site a lot from which he could View his maternal grandparents’ (The Walsh’s) for- mer home in Stanley Bridge West. Because of Fr. Bolger’s love and interest in the literary life of L.M. Montgomery, and through the kindness of Jennie and John MacNeil, Fr. Bolger acquired
