June 28, 1912, Patriot: Closing exercises of Georgetown school reported. Harold Keeping wins the Gov—General’s medal. [His brother Percy also won awards this year in college. studies.
July 24, Aug. 12; Aug. 20,1912, Guardian: Boating Club is organized in Georgetown: Temple Macdonald, Pres.; W. W. Jenkins, Sec.; Seymour Knight, treas. Premier Mathieson and Ex—Gov. MacKinnon are honorary presidents; regatta being planned for Aug. 17th with a new trophy for the motor—boat entry.

June 10, 1913, Guardian reports story of the death of an eight month old boy, son of
Nicholas McLellan, St. Peter’s Road, in Georgetown, at the home of his grandmother Mrs. Swallow, poisoned by being accidentally fed gasoline in milk. [Peter Ross & Dr. Barnes now living again in the town are “characters” in this story]
June 11, 1913, Guardian: Percy Manuel moves his store from the brick building on Water Street to the Gordon building on “Main Street.”
July 1, 1913, Guardian: Georgetown School Closing Concert is reported. Gerald McCarthy is principal.
June-July, 1913, Patriot: W. M. Flynn becomes station master at Georgetown replacing Mr. Montgomery who has retired to Summerside. L. H. Douglas is at Cardigan. A. D. McLellan of St., George’s appointed post master at Georgetown replacing Mr. A. D. McPhee who has moved to Moose Jaw, Sask.
July 10, 1913, Patriot: The Grand Lodge IOGT of P.E.I. meets at Georgetown.
Late July, Guardian: Adele Smith and Harold Keeping place third and fifth respectively in P.E.I. entrance examinations to P.W.C.

Late Aug. or early Sept, Guardian: The 13 yr. old son of W. S. Easton is injured when a cart- load of stones toppled back on him
Sept. 17, 1913, Guardian: More concrete sidewalks are being laid; Thomas Henry personally paid for one from the street to door of the Baptist Church.
