D. “Very suddenly at Georgetown on Thursday the 4th inst, Frederick A. Norton, Esq. in the 48th year of his age. The deceased was a consistent and active member of the Episcopal Church of that town, one of the most attentive business Magistrates of that place and also a Major in the First Kings County Militia, in the efficiency of which as well as in the whole Volunteer Movement he took a deep interest. He was highly respected in the community and died deeply regretted not only by his sorrowing widow who has been left with the care of seven small children, but also by his near relatives and a large circle of friends.”iEatriot, June 11, 1868)
