D. in the 93rd year of his age.” (Weekl 'ner, June 23, 1893) [Longer obituaries on June 23rd and June 30th in the Weekl ‘ r say that Kaye’s wife, Isabella, who was with him when he came to Brudenell Point in 1836, in 1846 went to visit her family overseas and on her return voyage was a passenger on the Canopus which sailed and “was never more heard of.” The obituaries identify Kaye as an avid amateur landscaper, a member of the Church of England and very high in the Masonic Order, N.H. M.]
