M. “The marriage is announced to take place at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, London, Ont, on June 4th of Mr. Edmund V. Hessian, Conductor, Warrant Officer, Canadian Ordinance, son of Mr. & Mrs. Thomas G. Hessian of Georgetown to Miss Jean E. Jacobs, daughter of Major Geo. Jacobs, of London, Ont.. They will spend part of their honeymoon trip on P.E.I., arriving in Georgetown in August.” (Patriot, May 27, 1908)

D. “The body of Andrew McAuley of Georgetown Royalty, who had been missing since the night of Dec. 26th last was found on the shore at Shaw’s Point. Aged 49, he was son of the late Donald McAuley and was a carriage builder by trade." (Patriot, June 1, 1908)

M. “The marriage of Miss Bessie Logan, daughter of Mr. D. H. Logan of Georgetown and sister of Mrs. (Conductor) John MacDonald to Dr. Clifton Wand Harrington was solemnized last evening at Sycamore Lodge, Shrewsbury, Mass. Both bride and groom were unattended. D. “The death occurred at Georgetown, Sept. 24, of Ethel Winnifred Hobbs, age 29, beloved wife of W. C. Hobbs, butcher. The funeral took place to the Presbyterian Church cemetery on Sunday at 2 o’clock, pm. Mrs. Hobbs is the daughter of James Henry. She leaves to mourn a husband and two children besides a mother, father, five sisters and two brothers. The deceased was sick about six weeks.” (Guardian, Sept. 26, 1908)

D. “The death occuned at Wells Beach, Maine, on Thurs. last of Ralph Cheney, age 31 years, son-in-law of Edward Leeman, section foreman at Georgetown.
