D. On Nov. 28th, at Georgetown, Mrs. William E. Allen, [nee Zilpha Head], age 89. Her husband predeceased her. She leaves to mourn two daughters, Mrs. R. R. Jenkins, Georgetown and one daughter in the U.S.A.; alsoa son Charles in the United States. Services were conducted by Rev. Greenlees. (From Patriot, Dec. 2, 1919)
D. Suddenly in Georgetown, Dec. 23rd, Charles L. Barnes, M.D., L.R.C. & S, age 63. Born in Baie Verte, N. B. Jan. 21 1857, he was the son of William A. & Caroline Barnes. He was educated in NB. & Maineand in medicine at Queens Univ.. He came to Georgetown in 1884; later he moved his residence to Murray River but returned to Georgetown. He had some of his poetry published. His widow, nee Annie Compton survives, also a daughter E. Hilda, organist at Zion Church. Charlottetown, and son Harold W. who served overseas. D. “At Georgetown on Thursday Jan. 22nd, Mr. Daniel McFadyen aged 80 years. He leaves to mourn two sisters Miss Eunice and Miss Eliza. Rev. D. P. Croken bestowed the last rites.” (Patriot Jan. 27,1920
D. “At Georgetown, Feb. 6th, from asthma, Thomas Burke, age 64. Mr. Burke was born in Georgetown and spent the early part of his life in that place. Some years ago he moved to Western Canada and there remained until about ten years ago when he again came to the Island and started farming in Georgetown Royalty. About a year ago he sold his farm and moved into town. He leaves to mourn his loss a sorrowing widow, two sisters, Miss Emma and Miss Mary in the US. A. and two brothers Rev. Dr. A. E. Burke and James Burke, His remains were laid to rest in the Roman Catholic Cemetery.” (Patriot, Feb. 3, 1920)
D. “AtBumt Point on Monday, Feb. 9th, Miss Elizabeth McKinnon, at the early age of 36. She leaves to mourn her loss a sorrowing mother and one brother, Daniel at home and two brothers, Joseph and John Archibald, in Western Canada. Funeral from St. James Church. Rev. D. P. Croken officiating, assisted by Rev. T. Gallant. Sturgeon.” (Patriot, Feb. 13, 1920)
M. At St. James’ Church, Georgetown, on Tuesday morning, Feb. 17th, Mr. George Martell and Miss Alice Jeffrey. Attendants were Miss Katie Jeffrey and Mr. Michael Martel]. The couple will reside in Georgetown. (From Patriot, Feb. 26, 1920)

D. At Greenvale, in his 96th year, John R. (Burnt Point) MacDonald. Born at Burnt Point, he was the eldest son of a family of 12, two of who survive him, Ellen in San Francisco and Eliza, wife of the late Angus N. Morrison, Annandale. His wife predeceased him. D. At Georgetown on April 20th, Mr. Alexander Renton. He was born in Georgetown in May, 1840 the son of John B. Renton a native of Berwick, Scotland who came to Georgetown in its early days. with his sons, John, Alexander, David & John. All were carpenters and builders. Of this original family only a sister, Mrs.Hollis, Georgetown, remains. Alexander lived in Georgetown all his life, as a well-known and respected nter. He was an elder of St. David’s Presbyterian Church. Beside his sorrowing widow he leaves to mourn three sons and two daughters; William, Manitoba; John, Sydney, C. B., Thomas with the RE]. Railway, Mae at home and Ethel at business college in Charlottetown. Pallbearers at the funeral were C .M. Fitzgerald, Capt. Hugh McPhee, Peter Ross, Charles Johnson, Duncan D. D. At Charlottetown, June 30th, 1920, aged 55, Judge Aeneas A. Macdonald. He was born in Georgetown, Nov. 30, 1854, was admitted to the bar in 1890; was elected representative for Second Kings in the Island Legislature in 1912 and in 1916 was made a judge. He married Margaret J. Macdonald, daughter of John Archibald Macdonald of Glenaladale and they had two sons, Reginald and Allen and 2 daughters, Marjorie & Ann. Two brothers, Percy of New Westminster, BC. and Douglas of Georgetown are also left to mourn. Burial in Charlottetown. (From Guardian, July 1, 1920)
