1931:

D. “At Georgetown, Jan. 2nd, 1931, James Mair, Burnt Point, aged 88." He was born in Nova Scotia but came to P.E.Island some years ago. He leaves to mourn besides his sorrowing widow a daughter, Miss Anna, lady superintendent of the P.E.I. Hospital and three sons: George and Bartlett at home and Charles in Western Canada. D. At Georgetown, Jan. 13, Mrs. John Walker, aged 49. She was the daughter of the late William Stead and leaves to mourn besides her grief-stricken husband, three sons and two daughters: Chester, Spurgeon, Stanley, Nettie, Lillian, all of Georgetown, also three brothers, a halfébrother and two half—sisters. D. At Vancouver, Apr. 25th, Mrs. Robert Shannon, formerly Miss Annie McLeod of Georgetown, P.E.l., once principal of Georgetown High School and organist at St. David’s Church. She leaves to mourn besides her grief-stricken husband four sons; also a sister Sadie, in Georgetown, and four brothers Albin, Will and Charles of Georgetown and Rev. Parmenas in Western Canada.

D. On June 5th at Georgetown, Hon. Paul A. Scully. He was born at Souris West, forty six years ago, son of the late Thomas Scully. He was manager of the Georgetown branch of the J .J . Hughes store from 1919 and was a Liberal M.L.A. for the Georgetown district. He leaves to mourn a widow, formerly Mamie Maclnnis of Souris and nine children: Stephen, Gerald, Joseph, Adolphus.
