D. On Feb. 21st, Mrs. George Taylor, aged 36. She was born in Boston the daughter of Charles Landry and came with her parents to Lower Montague at age 6, and to Georgetown in 1930. Besides her husband she leaves to mourn three sons and two daughters: Rev. Father James, Winnipeg; John, San Francisco; William, Postmaster at Georgetown; Lottie (Mrs. McCulloch), Moose Jaw, Sask.; Mae (Sister Mary), Regina; also a step-mother, Mrs. Annie Robertson of Georgetown; also three half-sisters, Mary (Sister Alexander), Montreal; Annie, St. George’s and Ada, Georgetown; also a half-brother, John, New York City and brothers: Matthew, Henry & Robert in Sydney, CB. and a sister Adeline in Cape Breton. D. On Mar. 22nd, in a ﬁre which burned his residence, Georgetown, John Whiting, aged 80, formerly from Port aux Basque, Nﬂd., ﬁsherman. He leaves to mourn a stepson, Rev. D. In Charlottetown, recently, William Frederick McRae, aged 75. He was the caretakerfor many years of Victoria Park, but was crippled in an accident some six years ago. He was born at Cardigan, the son of the late Ronald and Mary McRae. He leaves to mourn, besides his widow, four sons: Frederick, Nelson, Wallace and Albert all of Charlottetown; also four daughters: Miss Edith McRae at home, Mrs. Amos Doucette of Michigan, Mrs. A. Ward and Mrs. Fred Smith of Charlottetown. also a sister, Mrs. John Murphy, and a brother, James, both in Georgetown. (From Patriot, Apr. 9, 1937)

D. “On Apr. 5th, 1937, Mrs. William Batchilder (formerly Mrs. William H. Yorston, nee Elizabeth Jane Carson). She was born 71 years ago in Fredericton, P.E.I.. She leaves six sons and two daughters by her ﬁrst marriage: Arthur G. Yorston, Mount Stewart; W. Woolard Yorston, Georgetown; Charles Albert Yorston, Cambridge, Mass; Florence, Mrs. William McNeill (Ryan), Charlottetown; Roland A. Yorston, Waltharn, Mass; Walter F. Yorston, Cambridge, Mass; Anna, Mrs. Lyman Jay, Georgetown, Lewis Yorston, Summerside; also her second husband, William Batchilder;ae half-sister, Mrs. L. D. On May 9th, Mr. Frank MacDonald, aged 59, conductor of the Mount Stewart-Georgetown section of the P.E.l.R.R.. He was born at Vernon, son of Mr. & Mrs. Joseph R. MacDonald and entered the railway service in Oct. 1894. He was a conductor for 15 years. Surviving are his wife, formerly Miss Lucy Murray of Summerside, two sons and one daughter, all in British Columbia; also brothers and sisters. Funeral from the MacDonald Hotel in Georgetown to St. James Church & Cemetery. (From Pai’ot, May 10, 1937)

D. By drowning from his boat, off Burnt Point, on May 14th, Lester Rafuse, aged 20, ﬁsherman, Georgetown. He was a son of Mr. & Mrs. George Rafuse and leaves to mourn six brothers and four sisters. (From Patriot, front page, May 14, 1937)
