Edward Ross MacVicar, son of Mrs. MacVicar and the late Angus MacVicar, of Sydney, Cape Breton. Revs C. U. MacNevin of Weymouth, NS. and Rev. John Stirling officiated. Attendants were Irene Stewart and George MacVicar. Phyllis MacNevin was train bearer. The ushers were Gordon Douglas and Charles Jenkins. Doris Stirling presided at the organ. Left to mourn are his daughter, Gertrude Tapper, a sister, Mrs. Alice Jenkins, of Charlottetown. P.E.I., also Harry and Archibald Tapper in Boston. Reginald Jenkins, Charlottetown, is a nephew. D. “On Dec. 9th, 1938, aged 82, Mrs. James (Mary) Dalton.” She was sister to Anthony and Peter Flynn of Charlottetown. She leaves a daughter Eleanor (Mrs. L. D. Mincher), Dorchester, Mass. and five sons: Peter, James & Joseph at Georgetown, Michael at Trenton, NS. and Thomas at Cambridge, Mass.. She lost two sons in the World War. (From Patriot, May 4, 1939)

M. At St. James Church, Georgetown, Dec. 31st, 1938, Miss Annie Murphy, only daughter of Mrs. John Murphy and the late John Murphy to Archibald Wightof Burnt Point, son of William D. Wight. Rev. 0. Kiggins officiated. The attendants were Miss Bertha Smith, cousin of the bride and Neil Wight, brother of the groom. They will live in their new home in Burnt Point. (From mm, Jan. 27, 1939)

MacDonald, aged 81 years.” (Patriot, Jan. 13, 1939) The Patriot, Jan. 24th, 1939 adds that the deceased was born at Pisquid, P.E.I., on Apr. 29, 1857 and that he entered the railway service on May. 17, 1870, finally becoming a conductor, retiring on Sept. 20, 1924. He married Caroline McCormack in 1890. Besides a widow he left to mourn the following sons and daughters: George, Charlottetown; Bernard. Ontario; Mary & Helen, at home; Nan & Agnes, Cambridge, Mass; Mrs. Joseph A. M. McPhee (Rose), Charlottetown. One daughter, Ruth, died in infancy and a son, Albert, died in 1928 while serving as a school teacherin Alberta.
E. Patrick Murphy of Georgetown to Miss Fisher of Little Pond, marriage to take place Feb. 1st in Rollo Bay R.C. Church. (From Patriot , Jan. 27, 1939)
D. At Georgetown, Jan. 28th, Mrs. James Boudreault (nee Hattie Fouchere), aged 57, daughter of the late Capt. & Mrs. Philip Fouchere, Lower Montague. Besides a sorrowing husband she leaves two daughters, Mary and Agnes and four sons: Phillip, Stephen, George and Charles; also a sister Winnie (Mrs. Milton Connors) of Roxbury, Mass, who cared for her in her illness; and a brother, Philip, in Boston.
