D. In Toronto, Feb. 2lst, Mrs. Annie Richardson, widow of the late H.A. Richardson, formerly General Manager of the Bank of Nova Scotia. Mrs. Richardson was daughter of the late Hon. & Mrs. Malcolm MacDonald of Georgetown and spent summers there. She leaves to mourn two sons: Malcolm W. Richardson and HA. Richardson, Toronto; a daughter Mrs. Joseph de Pencier, Ottawa, and a brother, Harold W. MacDonald, Georgetown. (From mm, Feb. 26, 1942)

D. At St. Mary’s Hospital, Montreal, Mrs. Henry Lavandier, aged 74. Surviving are a son, Gilbert, and two daughters: Mrs. J.W. Horsley, Winnipeg and Mrs. Rufus Clory, Georgetown, P.E.I.. (From Patrig, May 3, 1942)
D. At Georgetown, May 13th, Alfred McCullough. He was born at Southport, but for the past 14 years he has been the faithful mail carrier between Georgetown and the Royalty. He leaves to mourn his wife, formerly Annie Trainor of Hope River, an adopted son, Cpl. Fred. McCullough, now in Newfoundland, and two sisters: Mrs. John Duffy, Riverton and Miss Mary McCullough, Charlottetown, Rev. 0. Kiggins officiated at the funeral services. (From Patriot, June 8, 1942)

Stirling Miss Doris Jean, daughter of the Rev. & Mrs. John Stirling of Kensington to Charles Allen Jenkins, R.C.A.F., son of Mrs. Jenkins and the late Glen Jenkins of Georgetown. D. At Georgetown, June 12th, Mrs. Harry Fraser, aged 66. There are left to mourn a sorrowing husband, two daughters and two sons: Catherine (Mrs. William S. Martell) and Millicent, Georgetown; John D. of the Dominion Bureau of Statistics, Ottawa, and James Kenneth, C.N.R. operator; also a sister: Mrs. Mary McAleer, Ottawa, and seven grandchildren. D. In Charlottetown, on July 10th, Reuben Macdonald, aged 73, editor-in—chief of the Patriot. He was born in Georgetown, July 4th, 1870, the son of the late William Macdonald, former Superintendent of Public Works for King’s County and Elizabeth Gordon of New Perth. He was a brilliant graduate of Prince of Wales College, taught school for ten years, served as bookkeeper in local firms (when he also served as Georgetown correspondent for the Patriot) and in 1900 joined the Patriot staff becoming editor —in -chief and managing director in 1929. He was an enthusiastic Liberal. He leaves his wife, formerly Emma A. Roper, and two daughters; Doris, student nurse at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Montreal, and Jean in

D. On Sept. mm at Georgetown while at a dance at the Town Hall, Mrs. Hugh Yorston, aged 59, formerly Miss Minnie MacDonald. Her husband also died suddenly two years ago at Hewitt’s lobster factory in Gasperaux She had four sons in active service: Roy, Russell, Melville, & Gordon. Other children are John of Montague; Florence Timmons in the USA; Mrs. James Brydges, Georgetown, Maizie, Stirling and Velma, at home. (Guardian, Sept. 12, 1942)

D. At the City Hospital, Ch’town, Sept 23, 1942, Gladys Martell of Georgetown, aged 9 years, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Henry Martell. She leaves besides her parents, four sisters and two brothers.
