D. In Sydney, C.B., Jan. 25, 1943, Captain Ed. Dicks, aged 62. He was proprietor of Dalvay Summer Hotel for some years but made his living from shipping. He is survived by his second wife, Frances McCabe, of Stanhope and their son, Harold. His first wife, Alice McDonald, of Georgetown predeceased him a number of years ago. By this first marriage a son, Bill, and four daughters survive; also three brothers: Capt. John; Capt. Nelson and Capt. William. (From Patriot, Jan. 26, 1943)

D. At Georgetown, June 10th, Caleb MacNeill, aged 95 years. He was born in New Perth,, May 14, 1848, son of the late John MacNeill and Barbara MacDonald. He was a school teacher, then went into business, later taking up residence with his son in Georgetown. He married AmandaJane Websterof Rollo Bay in 1889 and they had two sons: Webster at Georgetown and Roy of New Perth. He was a member of the Church of Christ, Montague, and served as elder.
