D. “At Georgetown, on Feb. 5, 1951, William Batchilder in his 96th year.” He was born at Chelsea, Mass. He died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. P. J. Solomon, survived by Mary Soloman and John and Reginald Batchilder, Georgetown, and James abroad. Pallbearers at the funeral were all grandsons of the deceased. (From Guardian, Feb. 17, 1951)
D. On Feb. 17, 1951, Dr. B.C. Keeping, retired Chief Medical Officer of Prince Edward Island. He was from Murray Harbour area but practiced for a time in Georgetown, before moving to Charlottetown. He leaves a wife and family. Burial in Murray River. ( From Guardian, Feb. 19, 1951)

D. “In the City Hospital, Charlottetown, on Mar. 1, Joseph Aeneas MacPhee, in his 61st year.” He was a locomotive engineer with the C.N.R. but also spent time as a provincial policeman and with the RCMP. He was a veteran of World War 11. He leaves to mourn his wife, Rose MacDonald, daughters: Eleanor (Mrs. Howard McLean) of Georgetown, and Katherine (Mrs. Ward Dryden)of Airdrie, Sask, and sons: Frank of Cobalt, Ont, Albert and Allan. The Canadian Legion assisted at

His bride to be, Mary MacDonald was in the truck, also a companion, A. Gardner who suffered a fractured leg. Survived by parents Mr. & Mrs. P].
