He was a farmer and lobster fisherman active at the fishing grounds for 62 consecutive years. Twice married, he leaves to mourn his son, Nelson, and daughters Kathleen ( Mrs. William Simmonds ) and Jessie ( Mrs. Harry Simmons ), both of Charlottetown . Services were held by Rev. On Feb. 1, 1952, Rev. Mother Paula , C.S.M. at the Mother House at . Mary's. She was born Eileen McPhee at Georgetown . She taught school before entering the Sisters of Martha Novitiate at Antigonish . She took training in hospital administration in 1925 and became the first Mother Superior of the Charlottetown Hospital after the Sisters of St. Martha took over from the Gray Nuns. In 1933 she was named Superior General of the Sisters on P.E.I , but in 1945 returned to the Hospital where she remained as Superior until her illness in 1945. In this period a much sought after extension to the Hospital was realized. She is survived by her brother Rev. W. A. McPhee , in Alberta, H. F. McPhee K.C . of Charlottetown and one sister, Isabel.
