She was born Mary Arm Allen in Boughton Island on Dec. 24th, 1855 [eldest daughter of Joseph Allen and Martha Hemphill] and came to Georgetown in 1882, upon her marriage to Charles Johnson, who predeceased her in 1923. She leaves to mourn four daughters: Margaret (Mrs. A.W. Allen); Martha (Mrs. William White), Borden, P.E.I.; Miriam (Mrs. James MacKenzie), San Francisco; Florence (Mrs. Glen Jenkins) and three sons: Joseph F. in Georgetown, Nathan in San Francisco, and Stillman in Saint John, N.B.. D. “At Georgetown, Feb. 26, 1956, Daniel Alexander King, in his 68th year.” He was born in Milltown, P.E.I., the son of George King and Margaret King (nee Matheson) but moved to Boughton Island where he was a farmer and fisherman and raised his family. In 1944 the family moved to Georgetown. Left to mourn are his wife, formerly Edna Allen; four sons: Lloyd, of the C.N.R.; John of the R.C.A.F, Donald and Lionel in Georgetown and four daughters: Francis (Mrs. Charles Watts), Grand Tracadie, P.E.I.', Beulah (Mrs. Newton O’Connor), Toronto; Martha (Mrs. Joseph Kinnear, Georgetown and Olive of Toronto, Funeral from St. David’s Church, Georgetown. D. “At the Charlottetown Hospital. Mar/ 16, 1956. Felix Walker Morrison of Georgetown, in his 70th year.” He was the son of the late John Morrison and Mary MacDonald. A carpenter, he carried on many years of his trade in the U.S.A., returning to Georgetown a few years ago. Left to mourn are his widow, formerly Cora Kiggins of Kelley’s Cross; two sons: Daniel, a barrister in Halifax, and Gerald of the C.N.R. Ferry service; and three daughters: Catherine (Sister Anita Miriam), Providence, RI; Mary (Mrs. Philip Boudreault), Georgetown; Therese, R.N., Kingston, Ont. Also surviving are four brothers: John Dan, Georgetown Royalty; Malachias, George, and Andrew all of Seattle, Wash, and three sisters: Sarah, Milton, Mass; Margaret (Mrs. Joseph Ring), Mass; Mary (Mrs. John Vahey) Belmont, Mass. D. On Mar. let, 1956, Thomas Renton. He collapsed near his home while walking back from a town council meeting of which he was a member. He was a retired C.N.R. locomotive engineer, served on Town Council, and the School Board and was chief trustee of St. David’s Church. Left to mourn are his sisters, Mae and Ethel.
