At Georgetown , April 26th , 1956, Captain Charles M . Fitzgerald in his 93rd year. He was born in St. Peter 's. in 1863. He moved to Georgetown and became a well-known mariner and ship-builder. He built and sold the Charlotte M., and for the Provincial Government, the ferries: Montague 11, Newport and Fairview . He also served for a number of years as clerk of the Town Council. His wife, Catherine Robertson predeceased him. Surviving are three sons: Jack in California , William, postmaster in Georgetown , and Rev. Father James in Winnipeg; also a daughter, Mae, with the Sisters of Service, Fargo , North Dakota . Also surviving are brothers: William, Long Island , New York , and a sister, Cassie ( Mrs. Philip Quinn , Boston). A daughter, Lottie, predeceased him in the Canadian West.
