He was the son of Mr. & Mrs. Hugh Yorston , Georgetown , and served in the army in World War 11. He married Lois Larter , of Chariottetown and they had five children: Dona (sic). Gloria, Gordon, Clifton and Winston; also four brothers: John, at Montague; Roy, Melville and Sterling in Georgetown , Florence ( Mrs. James Timmons ) Haverhill, Mass; Myrtle ( Mrs. James Bridges ), Georgetown ; Maizie, and Velma ( Mrs. Don Rankin ), both of Calgary, Alia [A brother Russell died recently.] Funeral from St. David's Church. Mr. Lavandier was born at Georgetown . Mrs. Lavandier ( Lucretia Hadley of Hadleyville, N. S. ) was born in 1888. Their family of four include: Dora ( Mrs. W. J. He was a descendant of the Selkirk settlers and was ordained to the Presbyterian (later United Church) ministry after some years teaching school and was in his early days a principal of Georgetown High School. Left to mourn is his second wife, Ruby J. Read , of Port Elgin , N.B. His first wife was Mable Henry of Newcastle, Ont.. Also left to mourn are two sons: T.H ., Regina and Neil A., of Victoria , B.C. and two daughters: Margaret of Winnipeg and Mrs. Marian Shepherd of Vancouver . Milton Hemphill was a native of Georgetown, P.E.I , the son of John and Ina ( MacKeeman ) Hemphill and was a seaman and shipwright. He moved to Pictou in 1940. His wife, who survives him, was Martha Gotell of Georgetown , and his family include four sons and six daughters: Walter, Sydney; Ralph, Pictou ; Milton Jr., Hope , N.W.T. , Elwin at home, Constance ( Mrs. Pat Kent ) of Calendar, Ont; Thelma ( Mrs. Allister MacNeil , Pictou ) Eleanor ( Mrs. Burnie Burke), Parrsboro, N.S. ; Joyce, ( Mrs. Tucker ) Sudbury, Ont.; Joan ( Mrs. Archie MacDonald , Pictou , Audrey ( Mrs. Yvon Melanson), Hamilton, Ont., also 22 grandchildren.
