D. At the King’s County Memorial Hospital, Aug. 3, 1961, Mrs. Ashley Allen, of Georgetown, RBI, in her 78th year. She was born Margaret Johnson, the daughter of Charles Johnson and Mary Ann Allen. She was predeceased by her husband in November, 1951. She was in earlier days very active in church work at Holy Trinity Anglican Church and in the Sunday School. She was also a leading member of the Georgetown Women’s Institute. She leaves to mourn three sisters and two brothers: Martha (Mrs. William White), Borden, P.E.I.; Miriam (Mrs. James MacKenzie), San Francisco; Florence (Mrs. Glen Jenkins), Georgetown; Joseph F., in Georgetown and Nathan in San Francisco. D. Unexpectedly, at Saint John General Hospital, Aug. 7th, 1961, in his 31st year, John W. George, Saint John, N.B.. He was born in Georgetown, P.E.I. the son of Herbert and Marion (Crawford), George. He was employed with Eastern Bakeries Ltd., Saint John. He is survived by his wife, the former V. Ruth Guick, a son, David, aged two; two sisters and a brother. Mrs. J. R. Butler, West Saint John; Mrs. Clifford Fillmore, Lancaster, N.B., Cpl. H.D. D. At her home in Georgetown, Aug. 12th, following a lengthy illness, Mrs. Mary Jemima Yorston in her 79th year. She was the daughter of the late H. H. Crossman & the late Mrs. Mary (McGillivary) Crossman. Her husband, George, died in 1930. She was a resident of Georgetown for 60 years and was active in church groups and in the Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by a daughter, Laura (Mrs. Roland Marsh) and a son Samuel Harrington (Harry) with whom she made her home. Also surviving are six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Three sisters and two brothers also survive: Mrs. Helen Sheridan, Syracuse, N.Y.; Alice Warner Hugunin and Rose Crossman of Cortland, N .Y.; Wallace and Victor both of Cortland, N.Y. D. At his home in Georgetown, on Dec. 4th, 1961, Alexander MacKinnon, in his 78th year. He was born in Charlottetown, Dec. 17, 1884, son of Alexander and Ann MacKinnon. He retired in 1951 from a career in banking and office management. His first wife died in 1926. His second and surviving wife was Helen Donovan of Georgetown, P.E.l.. Also bereaved are two sons and two daughters: John A., of Saint John, N. B.; Derek, of London, Eng, Marion (Mrs. W.A.Hunt) of Belgrade, Yugoslavia; Lorna, of Lima, Peru, and a sister, Mrs. 0.
