Wight, aged 80 years.” She was Mary Ellen (Minnie) Campbell of Sturgeon and is survived by four daughters and five sons: Archibald and Rupert at Burnt Point; Neil, in Georgetown; Wing Commander Rev. Howard. R.C.A.F., Ottawa; Clement, Westwood, Mass; Mrs. Henry S. Craig, Needham, Mass;; Mrs. Clement Landrigan, Brooklyn, New York; Mrs. George MacDonald, Charlottetown, and Mrs. Lawrence Batchilder, Georgetown. D. At the Charlottetown Hospital, Feb. 5, 1961, Mrs. WT Wood (nee Margaret Maude Kelly of Kelly’s Cross, P.E.I..) She was born on Mar. 17, 1888 and married her husband, Wilfred, in 1915. He was a former station-master at Georgetown and other places. She leaves to mourn besides he husband a son, Alexis, in Leamington, Ont; daughters: Ieonella (Mrs. L. D. At the Charlottetown Hospital, Mar. 6, 1961, Rev. Owen Kiggins, former parish priest at Georgetown, P.E.I.. Pontifical Requiem High Mass was celebrated at St. James Church, Georgetown, by Rev. M.A. MacEachem, Bishop of Charlottetown with Rt. Rev. Patrick McMahon as high priest, assisted by seven other priests. The eulogy was delivered by Rt. Rev. J. A. Sullivan. D. At the King’s County Memorial Hospital, Montague, P.E.I., on Mar. 15, 1961, Edward B. MacLaren of Georgetown in his 92nd year. He was born at Georgetown Royalty where he fanned and became active in the Potato Grower’s Association. Later he moved to Georgetown and went into the fox raising business. He was active in community affairs, serving as Chief Magistrate, on the town council and as Clerk of the Court. He was one of those who promoted the care of the Pioneer Cemetery on Brudenell Island. He married, first, Jennie Parker by whom he had his family and after her death, her cousin Margaret Parker who predeceased him. He leaves to mourn daughters: Alice (Mrs. Rev. E. M. Aitken, Hamilton, Ont. and Mildred (Mrs. Charles Duffin), London, Ont; and sons: Earl. Toronto and Lionel, New Westminster, B.C.. Funeral from St. David’s Church. (From Guardian, Mar. 16, 1961)

D. On July 29, 1961, Mrs. L. H. Douglas, of Georgetown, in her 88th year. She was born in Georgetown as Matilda (Tillie) MacDonald, the daughter of William MacDonald and Elizabeth Gordon. Her husband, Lou Douglas, station agent at Georgetown and other places, predeceased her. She was active in church work at St. David’s Church. She is survived by three daughters and two sons: Marion (Mrs. Rodney Bruce, Mentreal; Beth (Mrs. H. Edgar Lannon), Needham, Mass; Helen (Mrs. Karl Cameron), Halifax; Ralph, Montreal; Gordon, Vancouver. Two daughters: Grace (Mrs. W. Frank Miller) and Jean predeceased her.
