D. At Georgetown, Sept. 13, 1963, Frank Joseph “Marty”, MacLean in his 71st year. He was born in De Gros Marsh, P.E.I., the son of Bernard MacLean and his wife Isabel McCabe of New Zealand, RE. 1.. He was and an electricianand also did other related work. He was an overseas veteran in World WarI and in the years after his return home from the war was one of King’s County’s best hockey players. He leaves to mourn his widow, the former Cecilia Doiron of Rustico and six children: Rose Marie, Francis, Gerard, Jeanne, Melva and Penny Lee, all at home. A brother, Angus, of Georgetown, also survives, as well as two sisters: Rose and Florence (Mrs. Jack Monet), both of New York City. Funeral from St. James Church. (From Guardian, Sept. 14, 1963)

D. At the Charlottetown Hospital, Oct. 14, 1963, Reginald Batchilder, aged 80. He was born in Georgetown, the son of William Batchilder and Louisa Wilt and was a nter by trade. He married first Matilda Gallant, of Rustico and they had a son Aeneas, now of Barrie, Ont. His second marriage was to Julia Martellof Panmure Island, now deceased. Left to mourn are sons: Walter, of North River, P.E.I., and Theodore, of Georgetown and daughters: Melvina (Mrs. Fred McCullough), and Florence (Mrs. John Doiron) and Evelyn, all of Georgetown. A brother, John Batchilder, of Georgetown also survives. One son, Newman, was killed in World War 11 and a daughter Mrs. Warren Llewellyn also predeceased him. Funeral from St. James Church.
