D. At the Charlottetown Hospital, Aug, 25th, 1964, Daniel J. MacCormack in his 59th year. Born in

Georgetown, P.E.I., he was the son of Hugh and Selina (King) MacCormack. He was a sanitary engineer in Charlottetown and served overseas in the Canadian forces. He is survived by his wife, Angela V Campbell, of Little Pond, P.E.I., and three sons: Lieut. Noel, Canadian Army; Donald, a teacher in Charlottetown and Alan. Also survivingarea brother: Joseph in Loggieville, N. B., and three sisters: Frances (Mrs. James R. MacDonald), Glace Bay, N.S..; Merrill, Ottawa; and Isabel (Mrs. Frank MacKinnon), Ottawa. D. At the RBI. Hospital, Nov. 25th, 1964, Marcellus Simon Gotell, aged 60, of Georgetown, RE. 1.. He was the son of the late Frederick Gotell and his wife Catherine Pauline Martin, formerly of Tignish, P.E.I.. He served in the merchant marine as a shipwright during which time he was a chief petty officer on the freighter St. Mala “when she was torpedoed by a German submarine in 1940 and spent eleven days in an open life—boat before being picked up.” He served as president of the Georgetown branch of the Canadian Legion and was on the provincial executive. He is survived by his wife, the former Georgina Sarnms, of Codroy, Nfld., by four daughters: Bernadette, Dianne, Paula and Mary and six sons: Gerald, Christopher, Gary, Peter, Owen and Paul all of Georgetown; also by two brothers: John, Georgetown and Leo in Montreal and by three sisters: Mary (Mrs. E. Clark), Mt. Stewart; Gertrude (Mrs. Michael Martel] Jr.), Georgetown; and Helen, Georgetown. A brother Joseph and a sister Faustina predeceased him. D. At the Charlottetown Hospital, Nov. 25th, 1964, MichaelBurke, Sr., Georgetown, P.E.I., aged 82 years. He was born in Charlottetown but lived in Georgetown from an early age. He was a veteran of World War 1 and saw active service in France where he was wounded. He was a fisherman, searnan and carpenter. As a seaman he sailed with the S.S. Minto, the S.S. Earl Grey, and the carferry, Charlottetown. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Margaret Shannon of Summerside. He is survived by four daughters: Mary (Mrs. Mlliam Prosper), Georgetown; Josephine, (Mrs. Henry Devaux), Mass; Catherine, Georgetown and Horence (Mrs. Patrick Lausure). Mass; and by a son, Michael Edward Burke. Jr., Georgetown. A joint funeral service with that of Marcellus Gotell was held in St. James Church, Louis Dooley officiating. Legion services were conducted by Harry Yorston at both gravesides.( From Guardian, Nov. 27, 1964)

D. At Georgetown, Dec. 3, 1964, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Spurgeon Walker, William Buffet, in his 90th year. He was born in Port aux Basques, Nfld., and moved to Souris, P.E.I. in 1900. His wife, Susan Clark, passed away in 1950. He is survived by one son, Reginald, in Californiaand three daughters: Maude (Mrs. Percy O’Hanley), Souris; Irene Mrs. Spurgeon Walker, Georgetown), Joyce (Mrs. Kenneth Fraser (North lake, P.E.I..
